Learn To Lose Weight

Why am I overweight? Learn the basics of good dieting.

The base of your weight problem can be traced back to the types of foods you’re eating at different points of the day and the amount of calories you’re consuming. So does this mean if you change the way you eat and different intervals while paying attention to calories will make you lose weight?

Absolutely.

It’s as simple as that. However, this is a life altering process. It’s not easy to break firmly established habits. It will take discipline to shift your diet into one that makes you thin!

It’s also crucial to understand that there are no quick fixes or “magic pills.” Running on the treadmill or going for a long bike ride and breaking into a sweat will not reduce your weight. That’s like trying to shoot fish in a bowl. It’s not only elusive and unfocused, it will leave you discouraged.

All you need to do is understand the mechanics behind weight loss and you’ll see why starving yourself is not the solution. In fact, not eating is the worst thing you can do to your body.

You’re body functions like an engine and only needs food as it’s ready to consume or burn it. If you eat, for example, for the sake of it, your body will store the food thus leading to, you guessed it, to more fat in the form of calories.

Many “fad” diets are highly restrictive and offer a quick fix but no long-term benefits. Hunger is the enemy of success. You don’t need to eat less, you just need to eat properly and in the right amounts.

Trendy, low calories diets are not the answer

If you eat less, your body’s metabolism will adjust itself and begin to burn less calories.

Here’s an example how it works: When you consume, say, 3000 calories per day, your body is conditioned to burn those 3000 calories. Once a person decides to go on a diet the result may be to drastically reduce calorie intake to, for instance, 1500. Guess what? Your body quickly adjusts itself and will begin to burn 1500 calories. You’re right back where you started only in an unhealthier position.

This will only leave you in a vicious circle where you don’t eat AND deprive your body of nutrients.

Low fat diets are not the solution

Believe it or not fat is actually good for you. It’s the type of fat consumed at a particular interval the problem. “Non-fat” and “low-fat” have become meaningless terms. Without the right context in place, it’s not surprising the “non-fat” craze has led to increased sales thanks to savvy marketing at grocery stores.

Low carb diets rob you of your ENERGY

You’re body operates like an engine.Energy and carbohydrates are needed to nourish your body to function on a daily basis. When your body doesn’t have enough carbohydrates it can translate into sleepiness and sluggishness.  Carbs are not the problem. It’s how it’s consumed the issue.

All these diets deprive you of your HAPPINESS and Freedom

Too many people now live their lives on a regimented food schedule. They carefully examine the nutritional table of every food and because the figure next to “Fat” may seem too high they don’t buy or eat it. Or this can manifest itself in how they order food in a restaurant.  Their heart may want something but the mind, now under siege, opts for something else that may not necessarily be the right choice.

They become afraid to eat anything thinking this is the price to be paid for losing weight.

Does this strike you as normal? It doesn’t to us.

Food doesn’t need to be a chore. You don’t need to be miserable each time you settle down for a meal. You just need to learn the proper way to enjoy food.

Now you know that popular diets are not the answer to your weight problem.
